At Ermine Primary Academy, we provide outstanding learning for all.

We are proud to be fully inclusive and strive to overcome all barriers to our children’s learning. These pages set out how we, together with the child, parents and other agencies do this.

At Ermine Primary we perceive that children with special needs are those who:-

Encounter difficulty with their learning, or social understanding or access to the curriculum and consistently require support that the teacher considers extra to the class norm;

Any child that requires provision that is additional to or different from that usually given should be considered to have special educational needs, this could be for a variety of reasons which include social, emotional, intellectual, physical or sensory needs.
