Personal Statement:

I have always wanted to be a teacher since my first experience in a school when I was fifteen. Even though I was sick on, I still continued. This is a job I love thoroughly and have a thirst to enhance and move children forward in every aspect of their young lives. With every day bringing a different challenge, it is a job that never stands still.

I graduated from Bishop Grosseteste University in 2009 with a 2:1 BA Honours and completed my PGCE award in 2012 with flying colours! Graduating was an amazing experience that has enabled me to begin the career I always wanted.

I have been a part of several classrooms around the county during my practice at University. My first job in a school was as a teaching assistant and eventual unqualified teacher at St Lawrence School in Horncastle. I started at Ermine Primary Academy in November 2013 as a TA3 before completing my journey as a qualified teacher last year.

Why Ermine Primary Academy is your passion?

When I started at Ermine Primary Academy, it was extremely difficult circumstances personally. However, within a matter of days, I felt like I was at home and part of a wider family. The determination and passion shown by all adults makes this an empowering place to learn. This school has become ever present in the local community, something which I pride myself on.
