Areas of Responsibility:

  • MLT
  • EYFS Leader
  • Class Teacher

Personal Statement:

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher. I love my job because… every day is different and very rewarding. I love working in Early Years you have the opportunity to follow the childrens interests and then tailor the curriculum according to these, I feel I am now an expert on dinosaurs and digger trucks!

Qualifications:

I graduated from Sheffield Hallam university in 2003 with a BA (hons) degree in education and advanced early years with QTS. I regularly take part in Read Write Inc training and am fully up to date with all the latest updates, Fred Frog and I are often found practising our red and green words!

Experience:

I have been at Ermine Primary since 2003, originally it was a separate infant and junior school. I have three children aged 10, 8 and 4 so I definitely have experience of the joys and challenges of motherhood (I am also known as super woman)! I like to think that this helps me to provide a ‘home from home’ environment as well as forging strong links with the parents and carers of our pupils.

Why Ermine Primary Academy is your passion?

Ermine Primary Academy is one big happy family, we support each other and celebrate each other’s strengths and achievements, this ethos is embedded in our school values. I have seen many changes throughout my time here, from changing to a primary school and most recently, becoming an academy. I have enjoyed seeing the school grow and develop and am passionate about our school and it’s holistic approach to excellence in learning.
